I've fallen in love with this song... the story is so sad... T_T I'd never paid much attention to it and it has turned out to be beautiful! I'm so glad I translated it >_<

the image we both stared at so intently will flow forever.

(*): it actually says "the up train" because in japan trains that go to tokyo (for example) from a lesser destination are called like that. in fact you go up to tokyo and down from tokyo - it's sort of elitist, but that's how it is. so we can assume the person in the song is going to a bigger city, perhaps tokyo, as normally happens when you graduate and go off to college.
